New Mexico is offering free back-to-school vaccine clinics for children statewide through Aug. 29, with 69 locations offering evening and weekend hours.

The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH), the New Mexico Primary Care Association and the New Mexico Immunization Coalition run the Got Shots clinics for children from birth through age 18.

No insurance is required, though parents should bring a child’s vaccination record and insurance card if they have one. State health leaders said no child will be turned away for lack of coverage.

NMDOH said families can review New Mexico childcare, preschool and school entry immunization requirements for the 2026-27 school year and find nearby clinics through its Don’t wait, Vaccinate webpage.

Families who need help making an appointment or finding a provider can call the NMDOH Helpline at 1-833-SWNURSE, or 1-833-796-8773, or text questions to 66364 using NMDOH.
