Every purchase makes a difference in the lives of young entrepreneurs as they find their way in the world and discover all they are capable of. Joining the iconic cookie lineup this year, ExploremoresTM, a rocky road ice cream–inspired sandwich cookie, is another delectable treat that consumers can purchase to support Girl Scouts this season.

As always, 100% of the proceeds earned through the Girl Scout Cookie Program stay local with councils and troops as they explore more possibilities through life-changing experiences and programming offered year-round. With the start of booth sales this weekend, cookie lovers can now purchase their favorite flavors directly from Girl Scouts at local businesses.

They can also order cookies for direct shipment to their front door, or pickup, using the Girl Scout Cookie Finder, or donate cookies to service men and women, community organizations, and first responders through our Hometown Heroes program.

Each box purchased helps fund life-changing experiences for New Mexico Girl Scouts. From the excitement of the annual Roar & Snore sleepover at the ABQ BioPark Zoo to discovering our state’s deep roots through virtual programs on Clovis history and the legacy of Route 66, these experiences are powered by cookie earnings.

Local troops also take their learning on the road with immersive in-person history programs, such as our upcoming event at Las Golondrinas, where scouts step back in time to experience New Mexico’s heritage firsthand.

Beyond exploration, the Cookie Program fuels the Girl Scout Highest Awards—the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. These represent the pinnacle of the Girl Scout experience, where scouts “take action” to address the root cause of an issue they care about. Whether it’s environmental conservation, mental health awareness, or community literacy, these young leaders use their cookie proceeds to drive sustainable change in their neighborhoods, their communities, and the world.

When customers support Girl Scouts during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend by purchasing their favorite cookies, they’re not just enjoying a delicious dessert — they’re opening doors for girls to discover their leadership potential, build lasting friendships and create positive change in their communities.

“As a former Girl Scout in Albuquerque, I know firsthand how this program builds confidence that lasts a lifetime,” said Celia Tellez, CEO of Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails. “The start of booth sales this weekend is an invitation for our neighbors to support the next generation of New Mexico’s leaders. Whether you’re trying the new ExploremoresTM or sticking with a classic favorite, you are directly investing in the potential of girls across our state.”
