Four projects are currently planned on the Canjilon and Tres Piedras ranger districts. Crews may not be able to treat all units—or acres within a unit—due to a variety of factors, pushing work into the future. New projects or increased acreage may be added throughout the season.

Other restoration efforts, such as thinning and timber activities, will continue in various locations around the forest.

Forest neighbors and residents are encouraged to join the forest's news release email list. To do so, send an email to mailroom_r3_carson@usda.gov with a request. You may also keep up with alerts and closures on the forest's website, or keep up-to-date on the forest's various social media platforms (Facebook and X).
