K-TAOS Personalities
Brad Hockmeyer

Brad-2

Station Owner and Afternoon DJ

Weekdays 2pm - 6pm

Our founder and owner, Brad Hockmeyer, caught the radio bug as a young boy living just outside New York City and hasn't been able to shake it since.

From Boston to Vermont to Taos his passion for music and radio led to the creation of our radio station in 1982.

Brad now hosts the afternoon show with music giveaways, compelling interviews, news and we can't forget those great segues! We believe that he's truly solar powered!

The conch shell is beautiful, amazing and has told Rick many things that are important; what music to play, what questions to ask, even where to put his left foot when dancing.

He has not asked it why he is working at a radio station again.....yet.

Someday he's going to marry that conch shell.

Ted Dimond - Congo Square

Tuesdays 6pm - 8pm

Congo Square in New Orleans was the only place in America where slaves and free persons of color could congregate to perform music , dance and spiritual ceremonies. It was there that the roots of Jazz, Blues, Rhythm and Blues, Reggae and Rock and Roll were planted. Listen to the rhythms, melodies, textures and tones that grew from those roots with your host Ted Dimond.
